Compare the same motor version and the complete delivery package

A starting price may apply to a different shaft length, steering, or version than you need. Therefore, first select the correct variant. Then check the starting method and, if desired, trim or tilt. Do not assume that all versions of a single model have the same features.

Next, compare the included parts. For a combustion engine, check things like the fuel tank, controls, and connection materials. For an electric motor, look at the battery, charger, and controls. Ask which parts are still needed for your boat and what the complete combination costs.

Have the appropriate motor version checked. State the boat model, the current motor, desired steering, and the version you are considering.

Choosing an outboard motor in four steps
  • Boat and usage: start with your boat model, load, sailing area, and desired speed.
  • Shaft length: check which version fits the transom or motor well of your boat.
  • Steering: choose the appropriate version with tiller or remote control and check the starting method.
  • Delivery package: view which controls, tank, battery, and charger are included per version. For combustion engines, the delivery inspection is listed separately.

Are you in doubt between versions? Ask for motor advice and include the boat model and a photo of the current mounting.
