Shipping and delivery policy

Delivery

Products ordered online are delivered to the address provided with the order unless otherwise agreed in writing. Collection in Nijmegen is possible where offered with the product or order.

Delivery is subject to availability. The final version, price, delivery method and any additional arrangements follow from the order confirmation.

Delivery time

Stated delivery times are indicative unless a binding final delivery deadline has expressly been agreed in writing. The delivery period starts once all required information, choices and agreed payments have been received.

If a delay arises because the customer fails to provide information, documents, choices, access or payment in time, the delivery period is extended by at least the resulting delay.

Where a significant delay arises with a consumer order, we inform the consumer in accordance with the applicable statutory rules.

Parcel shipping

Smaller products are shipped as parcels where possible. Once tracking is available, the customer may be notified. The exact carrier and delivery method may differ by product and destination.

Pallet and special transport

Heavy or bulky products, including certain boat motors, batteries and other technical products, may be shipped by pallet or special transport.

A pallet shipment is generally unloaded directly beside the vehicle at a safe, accessible and paved location. The driver determines whether a driveway, yard, car park or another location is safely accessible. A pallet truck cannot necessarily travel over grass, gravel, soft ground, thresholds or steep slopes.

For apartments, holiday parks or enclosed sites, delivery takes place at the most reasonably accessible location. The customer is responsible for access, any barriers and a suitable unloading location.

Failed delivery

The customer ensures delivery is possible at the agreed time. If delivery cannot take place due to a circumstance attributable to the customer, reasonable charges may be made for another delivery attempt, return transport and storage.

Fuel-powered motors and pre-delivery inspection

Fuel-powered motors that must be shipped without certain fluids under applicable transport or safety rules cannot always be shipped fully ready for use. Where parts of the usual pre-delivery inspection can therefore take place only after receipt, this is explained with the order or delivery where relevant.

For collection or delivery where Marinaut supplies the motor ready for use, the agreed delivery and inspection work applies as stated with the product or in the order confirmation.

Transport damage

Check the shipment upon receipt as thoroughly as possible for visible damage and missing parts. Where possible, have visible transport damage recorded on the delivery document and take photographs. Report damage as soon as possible at info@marinaut.nl.

A consumer's failure to report visible damage immediately does not automatically remove statutory rights, but prompt reporting helps establish the cause and liability.

Customer's own transport

Where the customer arranges transport or transports the product themselves, the customer is responsible for suitable transport, sufficient securing of the product and compliance with applicable traffic and safety rules. Report any pre-existing visible damage before departure.

Storage after notification of readiness

When a product is ready for collection, it must be collected within the agreed or reasonably notified period. After a reasonable free collection period, Adtion may charge reasonable storage fees where these were disclosed beforehand or when readiness was notified.

Shipping and transport costs

Applicable shipping and transport costs are stated with the order, quotation or order confirmation. Additional charges may apply for special locations, special transport, crane work, ferry services, islands or hard-to-reach addresses where disclosed beforehand.
