Consumer right of withdrawal

If you purchase as a consumer at a distance through Marinaut.nl, you generally have a cooling-off period of 14 days. Within this period, you can withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies.

You can notify us of withdrawal using the cancellation function available on our website, by email at info@marinaut.nl, by letter or using the statutory model withdrawal form. Use of the online cancellation function is not mandatory.

After notifying us of withdrawal, you must return or hand over the product to us within 14 days at the latest.

Return costs

The direct costs of returning products are borne by the consumer where this was clearly disclosed before purchase. Products that cannot normally be returned by post due to their nature, weight or dimensions, such as certain boat motors, batteries, trailers and other pallet shipments, may incur higher transport costs. Where required by law, we provide information about these costs or a reasonable estimate before purchase.

If you arrange return transport yourself, ensure suitable and sufficiently insured transport and proper packaging. Where Marinaut organises return transport, the arrangements made in writing apply.

Assessing a product

During the cooling-off period, you may inspect and assess a product insofar as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, comparable to what would reasonably be possible in a physical shop.

Do not use, install or load a product beyond what is necessary for this purpose. Particularly for motors, batteries, electric propulsion systems and other technical products, installation or commissioning may affect resale value.

Loss in value

If the product has been used or handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, Adtion may charge for the resulting loss in value to the extent permitted by law.

This may apply, for example, where the product can no longer be sold as new because of use, installation, damage, soiling, missing parts or damage to packaging and accessories. Loss in value is assessed individually based on the actual condition, possibilities for restoration and remaining resale value. Depending on the circumstances, this loss in value may be substantial.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply where a statutory exception applies. This may include products made to the consumer's specifications that are not prefabricated, or made on the basis of an individual choice or decision by the consumer, or clearly intended for a specific person.

Merely choosing from normal standard options does not automatically make a product custom-made. Marinaut applies the custom-made exception only where the statutory conditions are met.

Damaged, incorrect or defective products delivered

If you received an incorrect product, or it is damaged or defective on receipt, contact us as soon as possible at info@marinaut.nl. Where possible, include the order number, serial number and photographs. Reporting a defect is separate from the statutory right of withdrawal and statutory guarantee rights.

Refunds

In the event of valid full withdrawal, we refund the amounts legally repayable, including standard outward shipping costs. Additional costs arising from your choice of a more expensive shipping method need not be refunded insofar as permitted by law.

We refund within the statutory period. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product or until you prove that you have returned it, whichever occurs first.

Refunds are generally made using the same payment method as the original payment, unless you agree to another payment method that is free of charge.

Exchanges

If you want another product or version, contact us. Depending on stock, product type and the condition of the product to be returned, we will consider the most practical solution. An exchange does not affect statutory consumer rights.

Business customers

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to business customers. Returns by business customers are possible only with Adtion's prior written consent and subject to the conditions agreed at that time.
