"In year 2 and 3 of my studies, I completed a 5-month internship at Marinaut. I was so positive about the first period that I returned for the second, which was possible in consultation with Maarten. I knew nothing about boats, but during those two internship periods, I discovered that I find it a super interesting subject and I'm becoming increasingly proficient at it. There's also a lot to learn in terms of marketing. For example, you get to see what goes on behind the scenes, such as maintaining the website or creating posts for social media accounts. You can also create a flexible schedule for yourself in consultation with Maarten, which is sometimes very useful when you're busy with work or school. What I liked most was the variety of tasks. When you're done creating a post, for example, you can always help prepare boats, engines, trailers, or other things the showroom needs. You can even go on a test sail after preparing a boat for use. The atmosphere is good, and there is often attention paid to team outings. I think it's a super fun and unique place to do your internship, and I'm glad I ended up here!" - Mitch (Marketing & Communication student ROC Nijmegen)
"I started my internship at Marinaut in February 2024. I didn't know much about boats, but I found the idea of learning something new and gaining practical experience very appealing. From the beginning to the end of my internship, everything was clearly explained, and I always had something to do. I was heavily involved in Marinaut's marketing, and through that, I really learned a lot about marketing. Additionally, I also worked with the boats, from preparing them for sailing to assembly. I learned a lot there too and had fun test sails! What I also liked was that the team at Marinaut is very pleasant. I also had enough time to complete my school assignments. In short, I am very positive about my internship at Marinaut, and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for an enjoyable internship with variety!" - Tyra (Marketing & Communication student ROC Nijmegen)
“At the beginning of 2023, I started my internship at Marinaut. From the start of the internship, I immediately felt involved in the company's activities. Maarten (owner) helped me well and taught me many new things. What I like so much about this company is that there are many different things to do and that you receive good explanations about all tasks. The team I worked with was also very social, which contributed to a pleasant working atmosphere. Occasionally, a chat with other interns and employees was also part of it. At Marinaut, you get time to work on your school assignments, but you also have time to work within the company. For example, during my internship, I was able to make preparations with Maarten for a Harbor Event where we showcased electric outboard motors and organized test sails. Other activities include: test sails, social media, taking photos, and furnishing the showroom. In short, I had a very enjoyable time here during my internship period” - Polle (Intern, Business Management IVA Driebergen )
“I did a 6-month internship at this company. I learned a lot here. I gained more insight into this work. I learned new things about marketing and all the important aspects surrounding it (which social media platforms perform best, when you rank high in search results, etc. etc.) In addition, I also learned a lot about boats, maybe not the most important thing to learn, but very interesting, I now know how to assemble things, what is important with a boat, what to look for and much more. I am positively surprised about this place and I would definitely recommend it to other people.”
