"In the second and third year of my education, I did a 5-month internship at Marinaut. I was so positive about the first period that I went back for the second period, in consultation with Maarten this was also possible. I actually knew nothing about boats, but during those 2 internships I discovered that I really like the subject and that I am becoming increasingly adept at it. There is also a lot to learn in terms of marketing. For example, you get to see how things work behind the scenes, such as maintaining the website or creating posts for the social media accounts. You can also make a flexible schedule for yourself in consultation with Maarten, which is sometimes very nice if you are busy with work or school. What I liked most was the variety of your work. When you are finished with, for example, making a post, you can always help prepare the boats, engines, trailers or other things that the showroom needs. You can even go on a test drive after you have made a boat completely ready to sail. The atmosphere is good and there is often attention for outings with the team. I think it is a super fun and unique place to do your internship and I am glad that I ended up here!" - Mitch (student marketing & communication ROC Nijmegen)
"I started my internship at Marinaut in February 2024. I didn't know much about boats, but I found the idea of learning something new and gaining practical experience very appealing. From the beginning to the end of my internship, everything was clearly explained and I always had something to do. I worked a lot on Marinaut's marketing, which really taught me a lot about marketing. I also worked on the boats, from getting them ready to sail to assembling them. I also learned a lot from that and had some fun test drives! What I also liked was that the team at Marinaut is very friendly. I also had enough time to do my school assignments. In short, I am very positive about my internship at Marinaut, and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a fun internship with variety!" - Tyra (student marketing & communication ROC Nijmegen)
“ I started my internship at Marinaut at the beginning of 2023. From the start of the internship, I felt directly involved in the company's activities. Maarten (owner) helped me a lot and taught me a lot of new things. What I like about this company is that there are many different things to do and that you get good explanations about all tasks. The team I worked in is also very social, which made it a pleasant working atmosphere. An occasional chat with the other interns and employees was also part of it. At Marinaut you get the time to work on your school assignments, but you also have time to work in the company. For example, during my internship I was able to make preparations for a Haven Event together with Maarten, where we exhibited electric outboard motors and organized test runs. Other activities as an example are: test runs, social media, taking photos and setting up the showroom. In short, I really enjoyed my internship here ” - Polle (Intern, Business Management IVA Driebergen )
“I did an internship at this company for 6 months. I learned a lot here. I gained more insight into this work. I learned new things about marketing and all the important aspects around it (which socials score best, when you get high in the search results, etc. Etc.) In addition, I also learned a lot about boats, maybe not the most important thing to learn, but very interesting, I now know how to assemble things, what is important for a boat, what to look for and much more. I am positively surprised about this place and I would definitely recommend it to other people.”
