Sea trials and reviews
Test 1 – Tohatsu MFS20E L with tiller
The test was performed with a Stessl Edge Tracker 3.70 with a total weight of approximately 370 kg including passengers.
- 700 RPM: approx. 4 km/h and 0.4 l/h.
- 3,300 RPM: approx. 20 km/h and 2.7 l/h; the boat planed at this speed.
- 4,000 RPM: approx. 34 km/h and 3.7 l/h.
- 6,100 RPM: approx. 43 km/h and 6.3 l/h at full throttle.

Test 2 – Boten.nl
In a review by Boten.nl, a fuel consumption of approximately 6.2 liters per hour at full throttle was mentioned for the MFS20E. With a Topcraft 605 of approximately 680 kg, a speed of about 20 km/h was achieved with 20 hp. This makes the test a useful indication of performance on a relatively heavy tender sloop.
