Honda BF20D 20 hp 4-stroke outboard engine

The BF20D is a compact two-cylinder 4-stroke outboard engine with a 350 cm³ displacement. Depending on the version, the engine is available with manual or electric start, tiller or remote control, and various shaft lengths.

According to boat-fuel-economy.com, consumption at full throttle is approximately 4.9 litres per hour. At half power, it is rated at approximately 2 to 3 litres per hour.

Sea trial and performance

• The BF20D shares its base with the compact Honda 15/20 hp series and combines a 350 cm³ two-cylinder engine with a carburettor and PGM-IG ignition.
• Practical speed varies greatly depending on the boat, load, and propeller choice.
