Honda 100 HP Outboard Motor BF100 LRTU XRTU — LRTU
Honda 100 HP Outboard Motor BF100 LRTU XRTU — LRTU
BF100 long tail or extra long tail 100 hp – 4-stroke engine | 4 cylinders – 1496 cm³
With power trim and tilt.
According to boat-fuel-economy.com, the consumption at full throttle is 36.5 litres per hour. At half throttle, the consumption is estimated at 10.9 litres per hour.
According to a rule of thumb, for fast boats you need 1 hp for 10 to 20 kilograms of total weight. Based on this, this outboard motor is then suitable for 1 to 2 kilograms of total weight. For displacement boats, 1 hp per 150 to 200 kilograms is sufficient; then the engine is sufficient for 15 to 20 tons of total weight.
With the Maxima 750 flying lounge with a boat weight of 1,250 kilograms, you can sail with a 100 hp outboard motor at a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
With the Van Vossen 777 with a boat weight of 1,000 kilograms, you can sail with a 100 hp outboard motor at a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
Launch and Go: Honda BLAST™ technology with PGM-Fi electronic fuel injection delivers instant acceleration, getting the boat on the plane as quickly as possible. This is achieved by using even more precise ignition timing, which delivers more torque at low rpm so you can reach cruising speed very quickly.
Cruise More, Spend Less: The unique Lean Burn Control ECOmo system adjusts the air-fuel ratio according to load and speed, so you use less fuel at cruising speed. When your boat is cruising (in the green range shown above), the PGM-FI system can adjust the air-fuel ratio by up to 20% by thinning the mixture.
One step ahead of the rest: Honda's unique VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) technology
New engine design: The new BF80 features a new design and is developed for performance. The gearbox is extremely hydrodynamic, to reduce water resistance and get the most out of the engine's power
Plug and Play: The engines are NMEA2000® compatible, making them compatible with all other NMEA2000® compatible electronic devices – such as navigation systems and fishfinders. Engine data, such as rpm, temperature and fuel consumption, can be displayed via multifunction gauges.
Charged: The high-capacity alternator delivers a solid 44 amps, enough to keep a 35 amp battery in top condition. And to power all the electronic equipment you have on board.
Engine Protection and Security: Honda Outboard Warning Systems monitor key engine functions including engine temperature, oil level, fuel injection and charging, and alert the boat operator to any abnormal operation.

Types
The transom height of the boat determines the outboard motor's shaft length. Measure from the point where the motor is attached to the bottom. Is the transom height around 43 centimetres? Then you need a short shaft. For a length of 51 centimetres, it is best to go for a long shaft. You need an extra long shaft for a length of 63 centimetres.
LRTU: A 537 mm tailpiece, a battery charger capacity of 35A, an electric start and a power trim and tilt (This allows you to automatically adjust the angle of the engine). L: long tail, R: remote control, T: trim, U: European version
XRTU: A 664 mm tailpiece, a battery charger capacity of 35A, an electric start and a power trim and tilt (This allows you to automatically adjust the angle of the engine). X: Extra long tail, R: Remote control, T: Trim, U: European version
