• PGM-FI electronic fuel injection: ensures the engine starts easily, accelerates powerfully, and has low fuel consumption. The gearbox is extremely hydrodynamic to reduce water resistance and get the most out of the engine's power.
  
  

• As a rule of thumb, for planing boats, you need 1 hp for every 10 to 20 kg of total weight. Based on this, this outboard motor is suitable for a total weight of 300 to 600 kg. For displacement boats, 1 hp per 150 to 200 kg is sufficient; in that case, the motor is adequate for 4 to 6 tons of total weight.

• The transom height of the boat determines the shaft length of the outboard motor. Measure from the point where the motor hangs to the bottom. Is the transom height around 43 centimeters? Then you need a short shaft. At a length of 51 centimeters, it is best to choose a long shaft. You need an extra-long shaft for a length of 63 centimeters.

• Practical measurement: with an Amigo 475 Sport of approximately 410 kg, a top speed of about 40 km/h was measured with a 30 hp outboard motor.
