Electric (with video of this sloop): you hear no engine noise at all. Electric sailing also means better sailing characteristics, no maintenance, and ultimately lower costs.
With 4 people, you can sail for 4 hours non-stop at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour (4 kWh battery sufficient for a day with a range of 30 to 40 kilometers. - 9 kWh battery is also possible). A 1 kW motor is also possible with a speed of up to 8 kilometers per hour with 2 people. You can then remove the battery and charge it at home. You can easily increase your range with an extra battery.
2 customer experiences: with a 495 sloop, you usually use 300 to 400 watts. You never sail at maximum power, so you can truly sail all day on the nearby lake at our home. With a 540 sloop: around 400 watts, you have a speed of 5 to 6 kilometers per hour in the canals. Consumption: 6 kilometers per hour: 500 Watts, 7 kilometers per hour: 750 Watts, 8 kilometers per hour: 1,000 Watts.

Fuel: Planing sloop, the sloop has little water displacement and can therefore go faster than the bow speed. A 15 hp engine for a speed of up to 28 kilometers per hour.
