Electric (with video of this sloop): you hear no engine noise at all. Electric sailing also means better sailing characteristics, no maintenance, and ultimately lower costs.
With 4 people, you can sail non-stop for 4 hours at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour (4 kWh battery sufficient for a day with a range of 30 to 40 kilometers. - 9 kWh battery is also possible). A 1 kW motor is also possible with a speed up to 8 kilometers per hour with 2 people. You can then remove the battery and charge it at home. You can easily increase your range with an extra battery.
2 customer experiences: with a 495 sloop you usually sail 300 to 400 watts. You never sail at maximum power, so you can really sail all day on a nearby lake near our house. With a 540 sloop: around 400 watts, you have a speed of 5 to 6 kilometers per hour in the canals.
