  • Electric (with video of this sloop): the motor runs quietly and requires less periodic engine maintenance than a fuel engine.
  • With 4 people you can sail for 4 hours non-stop at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour (4 kWh battery sufficient for a day with a range of 30 to 40 kilometers. - 9 kWh battery is also possible). A 1 kW motor is also possible with a speed of up to 8 kilometers per hour with 2 people. You can then remove the battery and charge it at home. You can easily increase your range with an extra battery.
  • 2 customer experiences: with a 495 sloop you usually sail at 300 to 400 watts. You never sail at maximum power, so you can really sail all day on a nearby lake. With a 540 sloop: around 400 watts you have a speed of 5 to 6 kilometers per hour in the canals. Consumption: 6 kilometers per hour: 500 Watts, 7 kilometers per hour: 750 Watts, 8 kilometers per hour: 1,000 Watts.
  • 6 kW with 3 people 10 kilometers per hour.
• Fuel: Planing sloop: the sloop has little water displacement and can therefore sail faster than the hull speed. A 15 hp motor for speeds up to 28 kilometers per hour. Or a 20 hp motor (with 2 people 15 to 20 kilometers per hour) or with 30 hp (surcharge 1,075) for a speed of 35 to 40 kilometers per hour. Or even 40 hp: 2 people 43 kilometers per hour. With 50 hp you reach 50 kilometers per hour.
  For water sports suitable fast motorboat and suitable for water skiing or wakeboarding (from 20 for beginners to from 35 kilometers per hour).
