The Topcraft 605 features a voluminous hull with plenty of room for a comfortable interior. A wide stern means the Topcraft can accommodate a substantial engine in the motor well without excessive stern-heavy trim. An integrated swim platform also contributes to this.

This boat is very complete and suitable for 7 adults. With a round seating area while still providing enough space for all passengers. The round seating area in the bow is reached via a step. The seating area accommodates the whole family and is equipped with good, deep back cushions. The back cushions are up to 48 centimeters high for comfortable seating pleasure.

With a length of 6.0 meters and a width of 2.5 meters, this tender is truly unique in its class. Such space, such stability, such beam! Good sailing characteristics. Very stable and comfortable, truly a pleasant boat.

With a 30 HP Tohatsu outboard motor, you can sail with 2 people at a maximum speed of 28 kilometers per hour. Planing sloop: suitable for water skiing, wakeboarding, or wake foiling. With 40 HP, you reach a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. With 50 HP, you reach a speed of 50 kilometers per hour. The long-shaft engine is safely and beautifully tucked away in the well. This results in even less noise from the already quiet engine. The well is easy to open and close due to the two gas struts installed.

Topcraft has been developing its own boats since 1996. By now, more than 5,000 satisfied Topcraft owners are sailing the Dutch waters. Topcraft develops new models itself. Quality is paramount for decades of trouble-free sailing pleasure. Topcraft therefore delivers quality. That is not an empty phrase; the shipyard is known for replacing molds faster than others. A mold is expensive, and the temptation is great to manufacture a few extra boats with it. However, for impeccable construction quality, that is not a good idea. A worn-out mold will not produce super-sleek polyester work. Another point of focus for the shipyard is the time a new boat is allowed to cure in the mold. A new Topcraft is only released once the polyester has finished curing. Accelerating this, to quickly use the mold again for the next unit, does not benefit the lifespan or the quality of the laminate. A great deal of boat with sharp pricing and good quality characterizes the Topcraft range. Topcraft has built a good name as a manufacturer and has found a very good balance between speed and comfort.
Boat Import Holland, known for the in-house developed and produced Topcraft and OudHuijzer sloops and tenders and importer of Style sports boats, has developed an entirely new model that has been introduced under the name Topcraft 605 Tender. At the invitation of Boat Import Holland, we sailed the 605 tender for an afternoon on the border lakes near Biddinghuizen. Thanks to the sunny weather, we had plenty of opportunity to take some beautiful photos of this special new tender.

Around 6 meters, there is a lot of competition in the area of tenders and sloops. To be successful, a model must therefore have a number of striking features. Boat Import Holland has over twenty years of experience with sloops and tenders, and this is clearly reflected in the design of the 605 Tender. Over the years, they have listened carefully to the wishes of various customers, and much of that knowledge has ended up in the test vessel.

The first thing that stands out is the great width; at 2.4 meters, this Topcraft is the widest tender in its class. The width translates into a very stable vessel and an unprecedentedly large interior space.
In the front, the 605 Tender has a round seating area with benches opposite each other. Especially when a comfortable seating position is taken, people in boats around 6 meters often end up with their knees touching. This is not the case in the Topcraft, which means even taller people have a nice place to sit.
In addition to the pleasant width and space, the seats are deep and the luxury cushion set offers excellent support. The high backrests provide shelter and comfort, even during longer, windy trips. Thanks to the generously sized gunwales, the cockpit is deep and safe for children and is also fully self-draining.

In the cockpit, the helmsman can sit behind the clear steering console with plenty of space for instruments, navigation equipment, or a fishfinder. As standard, there is a cup holder and a small compartment for a mobile phone. The helm bench offers ample space for three people and has the same deep and comfortable seat as the other benches.

Striking details are the two sets of steps in the cockpit. A step on the port side offers easy access from the side to the cockpit, and a step on the starboard side ensures that the aft deck is also easily accessible. Both sets of steps have three treads.
Via the sides of the aft deck, the swim platform is accessible, which is actually very usable thanks to the optionally mounted swim ladder.
The center section of the aft deck is formed by a large cover under which the engine compartment is hidden.
In the spacious engine compartment (plenty of ventilation to prevent motor failures!), a maximum of a 60 HP outboard motor can be installed.

The test vessel was equipped with a 20 HP outboard motor, conveniently fitted with electric start. Thanks to the spacious, insulated engine compartment, the sailing comfort is comparable to an inboard engine, without the higher costs and with the advantage that maintenance or an engine change is much easier to perform. Boat Import Holland deliberately equipped the boat for this test with a relatively small engine power. With 20 HP, the Topcraft 605 easily sails at 20 kilometers per hour. That is a lovely speed that allows for a nice pace without requiring a boating license. Not-too-heavy persons will easily be able to wakeboard, and a funtube or banana boat are certainly possibilities, making the boat perfectly usable in this combination for all kinds of sporty water sports opportunities. With a 20 HP four-stroke from Tohatsu, you won't encounter unpleasant surprises at the gas pump either.

The underwater hull of the 605 ensures that the boat reaches planing speed very quickly and causes almost no wake. Trips through, for example, the canals of Leiden or Amsterdam are therefore a pleasure not only for the passengers themselves but also for other water sports enthusiasts. For water sports enthusiasts who like to sail a bit faster, for example, a 50 HP Tohatsu four-stroke outboard motor (consumption 6.2 liters per hour at full throttle) is an excellent choice. These engines weigh less than 100 kilograms, allowing the 605 to continue sailing light-footedly with a top speed of 50 kilometers per hour. More than enough for water skiing, wakeboarding, or getting some fresh air on open water with a boat full of friends.

As standard, the Tender 605 is equipped with a beautiful thick fender rope, a comfortable cushion set with luxury fabric, and a spacious swim platform.

Recently bought a Topcraft 605. Super satisfied, it sits nicely stable in the water and tracks well. With a 60hp as we have it, it blasts across the water like a speedboat. Interior space is truly enormous, and the round seating area with the sundeck gives a fantastic bed where we can sunbathe nicely, and with the top up, we can shelter from the rain and wind. Soon we are going to try to go away for a few days and sleep on the boat! If we like this, we want to sail the Elfstedentocht. There is more than enough luggage space, especially if you count the space under the sundeck.
