Tohatsu MFS75A ETL 4-stroke outboard motor
The MFS75's design is based on our best-selling models, the MFS40/50/60 and MFS9.9/15/20. The heritage of our highest-performing and most reliable engines has been carried over to our all-new MFS75 4-stroke outboard engine, featuring industry-first innovative features and specifications, with a dynamic design and refined details.
The groundbreaking technology, the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust, delivers unparalleled torque across the entire RPM range. The higher the torque, the better the hole shot, which translates to higher speeds. Higher torque also means less drag, which in turn means more boating options; it can be used on any type of boat, from light to heavy, pleasure craft to commercial.
A rule of thumb is that for fast boats, you need 1 hp for a total weight of 10 to 20 kilograms. Based on this, this outboard motor is suitable for a total weight of 750 to 1500 kilograms.
For displacement boats, 1 hp per 150 to 200 kilograms is sufficient; then the engine is adequate for 11 to 15 tons of total weight.
The synergy between the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust and our precisely tuned ECU programming, MFS75 provides strong acceleration when needed to get the boat on plane quicker and let you reach top speed faster.
Equipped with standard features like the Variable Idle System that allows you to change the idle speed from 650 to 850 RPM, a low gear ratio (2.08:1) giving you the higher low-end torque your boat demands, a freshwater flush system designed to simplify routine flushing, and a powerful 41-amp alternator, the MFS75 delivers the industry-leading features you expect from Tohatsu.
Trim meter
The 2" diameter trim gauge displays the engine angle for optimal performance and efficiency. It features a domed lens to minimize glare in direct sunlight, a fog- and scratch-resistant coating, and a chrome bezel.
Tachometer
The 7,000-rpm tachometer (10-centimeter diameter) has a chrome ring and is illuminated for clear visibility in the dark. It features a domed lens to minimize glare in direct sunlight and a fog- and scratch-resistant coating.
The tachometer informs the operator of potential problems, such as low oil pressure, low battery and overheating, through built-in warning lights.

For steering wheel controls, both mono-cable and hydraulic.
With power trim and tilt, you can optimize the engine's tilt angle at the touch of a button. The trim gauge lets you quickly see if the engine angle is set correctly. This results in faster acceleration, smoother, faster, more fuel-efficient, more stable, and, above all, safer riding. It's also handy for trailering. -
EFTL tiller tiller With a Big Multi Tiller C handle (see images). This gives you electric starting and power trim for the outboard motor, without the need for a remote steering function.
An ergonomically designed large shift lever at the front and a longer throttle grip with a Power Trim & Tilt (PTT) switch at the end of the handle for easier operation and maneuverability. To balance varying wind and current conditions, the Variable Idling System allows the user to select the optimal idle speed from 5 different RPM ranges by simply pressing the key switch.
- Ergonomically designed shift lever.
- Longer Thottle handle with 110 degrees of rotation for maneuverability
-Throttle Friction function for fine-tuning the comfort of the tiller
-Steering Co-Pilot for steering control.
-Warning lights, key switch and tilt and trim switch (in the handle) easily accessible
- Available in the colour Aqua Blue Article number 3SSQ63000-2 or Belgua White Article number 3SSW63000-2.
- The boat's transom height determines the outboard motor's shaft length. Measure from the mounting point of the motor to the bottom. Is the transom height around 43 centimeters? Then you'll need a short shaft. For a length of 51 centimeters, a long shaft is best. You'll need an extra long shaft for a length of 63 centimeters.

Standard vertical mounting panel without remote control (optional) with tachometer, trim meter, wiring harness with ignition switch and dead man's switch, communication cable kit (part number 3ZG-84556-0)
- Excludes : propeller, fuel tank and starter battery, engine oil and delivery inspection.
- Propeller
Surcharge €419.00. Aluminum propeller with 3 blades and hub kit (connection between the propeller and the propeller shaft).
Available propeller sizes: 11 pitch (duel power trust) Article number 3HKB64523-0, 15 pitch 3HKB64532-0, 17 pitch 3HKB64536-0, 19 pitch 3HKB64541-0 (most commonly supplied), 21 pitch 3HKB64545-0.
Choose a lower pitch for heavier boats: higher acceleration (for waterskiing/wakeboarding). Higher pitch for lighter boats: higher speed.
If the RPM is too low at full throttle, a smaller pitch can result in a higher top speed and acceleration. One pitch makes a difference of about 200 to 300 RPM. NB: Choosing too low a pitch may result in exceeding the maximum RPM and thus causing engine damage.
You can also achieve more pulling power and higher revs with a larger diameter, and less pulling power and higher revs with a smaller diameter.

FEATURES
4-2-1 Performance Tuned exhaust
The isometric "4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust" manifold maximizes torque and acceleration. This unique design is an industry first and is only found on Tohatsu outboards. By designing each exhaust passage to be the same length, the combination of exhausts from each cylinder creates additional suction that helps pull the exhaust out of the engine. This completely eliminates the possibility of exhaust interference and dramatically improves performance.

Excellent couple
From the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned exhaust, the MFS75/90/100/115 has the highest torque allowing you to get on plane quicker and reach top speed faster than any other competitor.
**Data based on research conducted and collected by Tohatsu Engineering Department
Superior durability and optimized weight
To ensure high durability and weight reduction, Tohatsu optimized each relatively heavy component, such as the cylinder head, exhaust manifold, engine base, oil pan, lower unit, etc. A special anodizing process was also used on all major aluminum components for extended engine life.
Excellent fuel efficiency
The MFS75/90/100/115 features a unique SOHC-4V design in its class, where competitors are either SOHC-2V or DOHC-4V. Spark plugs are strategically placed in the center of each combustion chamber for the most efficient combustion with optimal heat conduction, resulting in strong running and fuel efficiency.
Silent engine
Featuring a equal-length intake manifold, 4-2-1 Performance Tuned exhaust, and a precisely tuned ECU, the MFS75/90/100/115 delivers an exciting, performance-focused engine note. Sounds also bounce off each other within the large-capacity idle port, dampening the exhaust flow, contributing to the quietest idle noise.
Agility
With its sophisticated ECU programming, the MFS75/90/100/115 is designed to improve acceleration when needed to get the boat on plane quicker. If you open the throttle too wide, the ECU recognizes this and fires all four cylinders simultaneously. At the same time, the ECU optimizes and delivers sufficient air and fuel, making the air/fuel mixture more suitable for quick acceleration to generate higher torque. The higher the torque, the stronger the acceleration you get, resulting in improved hole shots and therefore faster planing. (Click here) In addition, the upper and lower mounts and the gearbox have been optimized for instant steering response, agility and greater stability.
