A PGM-IG 4-stroke twin-cylinder engine. When the 4-stroke comes to life, you notice how quiet it is. And thanks to Honda's exclusive vibration-absorbing rubber mount, it also feels very smooth.
Honda engines have a reputation based on reliability, superior fuel efficiency and low emissions.
According to boat-fuel-economy.com, consumption at full throttle is 4.9 liters per hour. It is estimated that consumption at half throttle is 2 to 3 liters per hour.
As a rule of thumb, for fast-planing boats, you need 1 hp for every 10 to 20 kilograms of total weight. Based on this, this outboard motor is suitable for a total weight of 150 to 300 kilograms.
For displacement boats, 1 hp per 150 to 200 kilograms is sufficient; then the engine is adequate for 2 to 3 tons of total weight.

From top to bottom, the BF15 is an elegant looking engine.
This lightweight 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 350 cc is easy to start. This is due to the compression system and Programmed Ignition (PGM-IG). This ignition system precisely delivers the right mix of fuel and air to the twin cylinders, ensuring these Honda engines start immediately - even from a cold start. The compact engine not only runs very smoothly but is also robust.
The engine has a high-capacity alternator, which supports most electronic equipment on board – even at lower RPMs and speeds.
With a four-layer coating process that provides protection against UV radiation and salt water. Four layers of defense: Honda first anodizes the aluminum body with a patented 'double-seal' process. Then, an epoxy primer is applied before the shimmering silver paint. For extra protection against UV radiation, a clear acrylic resin topcoat is finally applied. And for even more certainty, a dissolving electrode is attached, and all connections are waterproof. Corrosion stands no chance.
Easy reverse: When moving forward (A), the propeller will move through the water normally, but when reversing, that's a different story – unless you have a Honda. On other outboards, the propeller will spin in exhaust gas bubbles and won't be able to 'contact' the water. Our unique exhaust gas guidance system for reversing directs exhaust gas bubbles away from the propeller (B), allowing it to 'grip' the water – instead of the air. The result is an immediate response in reverse, with much precise control.

The Honda warranty covers both manufacturing and material defects for three years from the date of purchase.
A 10 hp electric powered motor is also available in tiller handle or remote control. Lower lifetime costs, higher residual value, more comfort, and more sustainable.

In a comparative test review by German Boote TV, Honda took 1st place. With the Honda 15 hp, a maximum speed of 37 kilometers per hour was achieved with the inflatable boat.
The Honda comes from the factory with a four-blade propeller in the
Basic equipment, and caused a sensation in the test.
Honda had the greatest range at various speeds due to the engine's economy.
For a pull test, a line was attached to the boat and a bollard, a scale was hung in between, and full throttle was given. The convincing winner of this pull test is

The transom height of the boat determines the shaft length of the outboard motor. Measure from the point where the engine hangs, to the bottom. Is the transom height around 43 centimeters? Then you need a short shaft. For a length of 51 centimeters, it is best to go for a long shaft. You need an extra long shaft for a length of 63 centimeters.
