ePropulsion Pod Drive 3.0 Evo electric Pod motor 3 kW

ePropulsion Pod Drive 3.0 Evo electric Pod motor 3 kW

Available for viewing in working order in our showroom. The demo version is also available with a full warranty (this is the non-regenerating version).

  • Promotion: 3-year warranty when registered with ePropulsion.

The Pod Drive 3.0 Evo from ePropulsion has the following advantages:

  • Space-saving (not in the boat)
  • Silent / vibration-free
  • Maintenance-free
  • Seawater resistant
  • No cooling required
  • Better than an outboard motor
  • Hydrogen generation; charges the battery faster while sailing or sailing with a folding propeller.
  • POD motor benefits: Pod drives are direct-drive, maintenance-free electric motors for sailboats and small craft. They are space-saving and maximize your cabin space.
Furthermore, POD motors offer efficiency gains of between 15 and 30 percent compared to inboard motors. Because they extend below the waterline and face straight forward, there's no efficiency-reducing shaft angle, unlike inboard motors. This means thrust is directed in a straight line. Less power, and therefore less fuel consumption, is required to propel a boat at the same speed compared to inboard motors.
  • As a steerable pod motor, for example by mounting in the rudder blade.
  • Optimal performance: Epropulsion Pod systems ensure optimal sailing characteristics, based on thorough development to achieve minimal water resistance.
  • Originally developed for the Spirit 1.0 and Navy 3.0, the Pod Drive systems offer all the benefits of traditional ePropulsion outboard motors and more. Epropulsion has developed user-friendly features that deliver an exceptional boating experience from installation to operation.
  • Comparable to a 5 hp (propulsion power) to 8 hp (thrust) combustion engine.
  • The engine is suitable for boats up to 2,700 kilograms to cruising speed and boats up to 950 kilograms to hull speed . Is your (sailing) boat lighter? Then check out the Pod Drive 1.0 from ePropulsion. For heavier boats, the ePropulsion Pod Drive 6.0 Evo electric pod motor (6.0 kW, 10 hp, 48V, 63A) is available.
  • More affordable AGM or other LiFePO4 batteries are also available.
  • Subsidy : Electric boat motors and lithium batteries are eligible for the Environmental Investment Deduction and the Arbitrary Depreciation of Environmental Investments for commercially used vessels. With the MIA/Vamil, the tax benefit can amount to over 14% of the investment amount.
  • We have included some test reports (cruising time and distance) of a comparable engine Navy 3.0.
  • Test report Beneteau 235 7.1 meters, 1,282 kilograms dry weight with 2 persons and 4 knots of wind with ePropulsion E80 LiFePO4 Battery 4.096Wh 48V 80Ah waterproof
    • 1.0 kW: 8.0 km/h and 32 kilometers range
    • 1.5 kW: 8.9 km/h and 24 kilometer range
    • 3 kW: 10.5 km/h and 14 kilometer range
  • Test report 7.3 meter sailboat with ePropulsion E175 LiFePO4 Battery 8.960 Wh 48V 175Ah waterproof
    • 0.75 kW: 6 km/h, 144 kilometers range
    • 1.5 kW: 7.5 km/h 90 kilometer range
    • 3 kW: 13 km/h 39 kilometer range

    • Steerable pod version with a rudder blade: rudder drive : also suitable for hybrid sailing. Dimensions A (see photo) 575 mm, B 60 mm, C 600 mm D. *Other dimensions available upon request.

With the plug-and-play system, you can quickly enjoy the benefits of your Rudder Drive. Installation and connection are easy and can be done even with minimal technical knowledge. No complex wiring or complicated connections. The Rudder Drive comes with clear, detailed instructions to guide you through every step.
The Rudder Drive uses the hydrogeneration function, meaning the battery is charged by current. So when the combustion engine is running, the Rudder Drive's battery recharges. €1,275
Possible rudder stock 275mm for 30mm axle 459,-
For high speeds with the combustion engine, a folding propeller and an additional bracket (€295) are required. This has been successfully tested with an Antaris with a 200 hp diesel engine.
