ePropulsion Pod Drive 3.0 Evo electric Pod motor 3 kW including remote control

ePropulsion Pod Drive 3.0 Evo electric Pod motor 3 kW including remote control

Can be viewed operating in our showroom.

The Pod Drive 3.0 Evo from ePropulsion has the following advantages:

  • Space-saving (not inside the boat)
  • Silent / vibration-free
  • Maintenance-free
  • Seawater resistant
  • No cooling necessary
  • More aesthetically pleasing than an outboard motor
  • Hydrogeneration; charges the battery while sailing or sails faster with a folding propeller.
  • Advantages of POD motor: Pod drives are direct-driven and maintenance-free electric motors for sailboats and small vessels. They are space-saving and maximize your cabin space.
Furthermore, POD motors offer an efficiency gain of between 15 and 30 percent compared to inboard motors. Because they extend below the waterline and are directed straight forward, there is no efficiency-degrading shaft angle, as with inboard motors. This means that the thrust is directed in a straight line. Less power and thus consumption is needed to propel a boat at the same speed compared to inboard motors.
  • As a steerable pod motor, for example, by mounting it in the rudder blade.
  • Optimal performance: Epropulsion Pod systems ensure optimal sailing characteristics, based on thorough development to achieve minimal water resistance.
  • Originally derived from the Spirit 1.0 and Navy 3.0, the Pod Drive systems offer all the advantages of traditional ePropulsion outboard motors and more. Epropulsion has developed more user-friendly functions that ensure an extraordinary sailing experience from installation to operation.
  • Promotion: 3-year warranty upon registration with ePropulsion.
  • Comparable to a 5 hp (propulsive power) to 8 hp (thrust) fuel engine.
  • The motor is suitable for bringing boats up to 2,700 kilograms to cruising speed and boats up to 950 kilograms to hull speed. Is your (sail)boat lighter? Then check out the Pod Drive 1.0 from ePropulsion. For heavier boats, the ePropulsion Pod Drive 6.0 Evo electric pod motor 6.0 kW 10 hp 48V 63A is available. Or install 2 pods with dual control (no extra charge).
    • Dual control for 2 motors. With the Evo Dual Remote Control, you can control two motors simultaneously with one action. It is also possible to control the two motors separately. Integrated 4.3-inch (11 cm) display shows all information in real-time, including battery status, travelled/remaining range, speed, power, and error messages (for both motors separately). Article number NE-DR00-00 EAN number 6971312631920 including communication cables.
  • Subsidy: Electric boat motors and Lithium batteries are eligible for Environmental Investment Deduction and Random Depreciation of Environmental Investments for vessels used commercially. The tax advantage with MIA\Vamil can amount to over 14% of the investment amount.
  • We have included some test reports (sailing duration and distance) of a comparable Navy 3.0 motor.
  • Test report Beneteau 235, 7.1 meters, 1,282 kilograms dry weight with 2 persons and 4 knots of wind with ePropulsion E80 LiFePO4 Battery 4.096Wh 48V 80Ah waterproof
    • 1.0 kW: 8.0 km/h and 32 kilometers range
    • 1.5 kW: 8.9 km/h and 24 kilometers range
    • 3 kW: 10.5 km/h and 14 kilometers range
  • Test report sailboat 7.3 meters with ePropulsion E175 LiFePO4 Battery 8.960 Wh 48V 175Ah waterproof
    • 0.75 kW: 6 km/h, 144 kilometers range
    • 1.5 kW: 7.5 km/h 90 kilometers range
    • 3 kW: 13 km/h 39 kilometers range

    • Excluding Battery. Minimum 63Ah. For a consumption of 1 kWh and 4 hours of sailing, assume a 4 kWh battery. Recommended: ePropulsion E80 LiFePO4 Battery 4.1 kWh 48V. At 7 kilometers per hour, the range is then 28 kilometers. Sufficient for most watersports enthusiasts.
      • Options:
        • 9.96″ × 6.34″ 2-blade NAB folding propeller Article number P3-LU01-E0. To experience less resistance from the boat propeller while sailing, the folding propeller is used, especially on racing sailboats. A folding propeller automatically opens due to centrifugal force. Material: NAB (nickel aluminum bronze) 489,-
        • Steerable pod variant with a rudder blade: rudder drive: also for hybrid sailing. Dimensions A (see photo) 575 mm, B 60 mm, C 600 mm D *Deviating sizes on request.
          • With the "plug & play" system, you can quickly enjoy the benefits of your Rudder Drive. Installation/connection is simple and even possible with limited technical knowledge. No complex wiring or complicated connections. The Rudder Drive comes with clear, detailed instructions to guide you every step of the way.
          • The Rudder Drive uses the hydrogeneration function, which means the battery is charged by current. So when sailing with the internal combustion engine, the Rudder Drive battery recharges. 1,275,-
          • Possible rudder stock 275mm for shaft 30mm 459,-
          • For high speeds with the fuel engine, a folding propeller is necessary and an extra bracket (295,-). This has been successfully tested with an Antaris with a 200hp diesel engine.
