• The 9.9 has the same engine block as the 15/20 hp and also features injection. The lightest EFI model in its class. The weight is almost the same as a 2-stroke.

As a rule of thumb, for fast-moving boats, you need 1 hp for every 10 to 20 kilograms of total weight. Based on this, this outboard engine is suitable for 100 to 400 kilograms of total weight.
