The VETUS E-POD 10 kW is a compact, fully electric pod motor for a 48V onboard power system. The motor, direct water cooling, thrust bearing, shaft system, and propeller are integrated into a single space-saving drive unit. Because the motor is mounted below the hull, noise and vibrations within the boat are kept to a minimum.
VETUS states that the E-POD is suitable for boats up to approximately 11 meters or 7 tons. This is an indication; the correct motor and battery choice also depends on hull shape, displacement, desired speed, and sailing area.
