ePropulsion E175 LiFePO4 boat battery 48 V 9.0 kWh

The ePropulsion E175 is a robust 48 V LiFePO4 boat battery with a capacity of 8,960 Wh. The battery was developed for systems including the ePropulsion Spirit, Navy Evo, and Pod Drive Evo, and features an integrated Battery Management System, status indicators, and communication ports.

Availability: currently, only unused demo batteries with warranty are available.

Indicative runtime

The actual runtime depends on the motor power consumption, boat speed, hull shape, load, weather conditions, system losses, and the chosen discharge reserve. Based on 8.96 kWh, the following theoretical calculation examples apply:

At lower cruising speeds, the runtime increases significantly. A fixed runtime based solely on boat weight is not reliable.

Compatibility

The E175 is suitable for various 48 V ePropulsion systems, including the Spirit 1.0 Plus and Evo with a suitable external battery cable, the Navy Evo series, and Pod Drive Evo models. Connection to other 48 V systems may be possible, but requires verification of voltage, maximum current, cabling, fuses, and communication. With systems from other brands, ePropulsion features such as remaining runtime are not necessarily available.

• Without battery charger: E175 battery, manual, warranty card, mounting hardware, and detachable handle
• With battery charger: the same E175 battery plus the ePropulsion E-Series 30A battery charger

Not included: motor and output cables, communication cables, parallel cables, terminator, remote switch, and other installation components. The required cable set depends on the motor and the number of batteries.

Battery charger and installation

With one 30 A charger, the stated charging time is approximately six hours. The maximum total charging current of the E175 is 80 A. Therefore, use additional chargers or solar power only within an officially approved configuration. The battery must be switched on during charging.

Ensure cable diameter, fuses, main switch, communication, and mounting are tailored to the motor and the number of batteries. When connecting in parallel, use only E175 batteries of the same model and age, and follow the ePropulsion connection diagram.
