The Combi Hybrid combines an electric inboard motor with an existing internal combustion engine. This allows the boat to sail electrically when silence and emission-free sailing are desired, while the internal combustion engine remains available for extra power or a longer range. The series is available from 3.5 to 50 kW.

How does the hybrid drive work?
The electric motor is integrated into the existing drivetrain using a bracket or SKID. During electric sailing, the electric motor drives the propeller shaft. When the combustion engine is running, the electric motor can be used as a generator to recharge the battery pack. The precise operation and control depend on the chosen installation and gearbox.

Installation and compatibility
Bracket solutions are available for various engines from brands including Yanmar, Vetus, Sole, and Nanni. Compatibility is not universal and must be verified in advance. Therefore, have the make, type, and rpm of the internal combustion engine, the gearbox specifications, and the available dimensions in the engine room ready.
Operation, monitoring, and cooling
Depending on the configuration, side-mount, top-mount, and dual controls are possible. Monitoring can show information such as rpm, voltage, consumption, battery status, operating hours, and error codes. For liquid-cooled engines, an open or closed cooling water system may be required. The correct solution depends on the sailing area and the existing installation.

A hybrid drive is always part of a complete system. Before ordering, have it checked which motor power, battery pack, bracket, control panel, cable package, and cooling system are required. The variants on this page only show the chosen motor power.
