With our Combi Hybrid model we can offer a combination of electric and fuel-powered sources.
Our hybrid electric propulsion engines allow boaters to benefit from clean, powerful and quiet electric power combined with fuel as an additional auxiliary power source when needed. When you are operating your combustion engine, the electric motor works as a generator to charge the batteries. The Combi Hybrid is designed to run at the same speed as a combustion engine. When the combustion engine is doing its work, the Combi Hybrid converts the electricity it generates into energy for the battery pack.
There are more and more areas exclusively for emission-free boats. This will only increase in the coming years. Our combi hybrid solutions are suitable for multiple applications. With this function you have the best of both worlds. Cruising with the silent electric drive and planing with the combustion engine.
With hybrid propulsion, the electric motor is built onto the marine diesel engine in the existing driveline. The Combi Hybrid engines are easy to install, all models are plug and play. By means of an accompanying bracket and tensioner pulley, you can build this engine onto your existing combustion engine.

- Suitable for any boat. Do you have an existing boat with a combustion engine? We can connect our systems to almost any engine or propeller shaft.
- Compact and practical. Our systems are constructed in such a way that all components are applied in a motor housing. You simply have to connect the power cables. The motor foundation is prepared so that it is easy to place.

Save costs. Electric Boating is saving on various costs and at the same time being environmentally friendly. No high fuel costs, no high maintenance costs and a longer lifespan.
- The Combi Hybrid is a compact water-cooled electric motor, which can be used both as a drive and as a generator. The motor is wound in such a way that it effectively handles the voltage/speed in both modes for high efficiency.

FITS MOST MODELS OF COMBUSTION ENGINE Because the engine is small and compact and has various mounting options. Can be used in combination with almost all combustion engines. For brands such as Yanmar, Volvo and Vetus we have standard brackets.

Compact design. Because there is often little space in an engine box for engine space, we have also taken this into account in the design. By water cooling the engine, it remains small and compact but still with a lot of power.
- MAINTENANCE FREE
The Combi Hybrid is a brushless motor and is therefore maintenance-free. Furthermore, we only use A-quality components, which makes the product virtually maintenance-free. -
Generator function. The Combi Hybrid is designed to run at the same speed as a combustion engine. When the combustion engine is doing its job, the Combi Hybrid converts the electricity it generates into energy for the battery pack.
- Subsidy : Electric boat engines and lithium batteries are eligible for Environmental Investment Deduction and Arbitrary depreciation of environmental investments for vessels that are used commercially. The tax benefit can amount to more than 14% of the investment amount with the MIA\Vamil.
Combi Parallel Hybrid system 1
With this Hybrid solution, the electric motor is placed directly on the combustion engine by means of a motor bracket. This keeps the combination very compact and is easy to install for mechanics. For this solution we have a standard liquid-cooled motor of 6kW on 48VDC. This application is suitable for boats up to approximately 8 meters with a maximum weight of approximately 5 tons. We have sets for various models of well-known brands such as Yanmar, Vetus, Sole, Nanni, etc. The Hybrid is a parallel drive directly on the propeller shaft and can only be operated when the reversing clutch is in neutral. When the combustion engine is in operation, the engine serves as a generator and recharges the battery set. We always recommend a lithium battery pack as a power source. These are most suitable for hybrid systems because they can be charged in between.

Combi Parallel Hybrid system 2
In this hybrid solution, the electric motor is used in the opposite
set direction of the combustion engine placed by means of a Skid. This solution is often used for combinations with higher power combustion engines >100hp / electric motors. And for applications where the space in the engine box is limited. For this application we have engines from 6 to 50kW in the voltage range of 48 to 144VDC. Engines with a greater power than >50kW are available on request. We have standard solutions for various models from, among others, Nanni, Vetus, Yanmar, Mercury, VW, etc. The Hybrid is a parallel drive directly on the propeller shaft and can only be operated when the reversing clutch is in neutral. Combi Parallel Hybrid 3
This form of hybrid is almost identical to a fully electric
tric drive system. However, this system uses a generator that functions as a Range Extender. This makes it possible to use different electrical
to apply propulsion solutions such as inboard, Saildrive or a
Jetdrive. For these applications we have standard engines
from 3.5 to 50kW in the voltage range from 48 to 144VDC. More

There are various brands and power generators on the market
which can be applied in this system. The same applies
for the battery set.

Bracket / SKID
The Combi hybrid engines can be installed in various ways.
This depends on the application and the available space. This is done by means of a bracket / SKID. Of course, there is also the possibility for a shipyard to take care of this itself. The toothed belt and toothed belt pulleys are determined on the basis of the combustion engine and reversing clutch used. For many models we already have standard solutions and on request we can also design systems. A list of available solutions is available on request.

Battery monitoring
The extended monitoring has a 3.5” QVGA color display. This clearly shows the status of the system. The monitoring works by means of CAN bus system and can be linked to other systems.
With the battery monitoring systems you have an accurate picture of the battery status by means of the used shunt which is placed near the battery pack. With this system you can monitor voltage, power consumption, battery status and alarms.

- NMEA MONITORING
Our engine data can also be displayed on various NMEA displays from different suppliers including Raymarine and Garmin.
Remote controls
Made of plastic in combination with aluminum and stainless steel. All our systems work with an electronic potentiometer and are equipped with a mechanical stop, which makes them very
solid and robust, but above all easy to operate.
The joystick side mounting can be used for both left and right hand mounting. The forward and reverse can be adjusted freely
are set.
The joystick top mounting is often used in wheelhouses. The standard mount is made of high-quality plastic.
This is also available in aluminum or stainless steel.
The joystick double top mounting is used with a dual drive. This allows you to operate the motors separately and
easy to maneuver.
Note: a dual drive can also be operated with 1 joystick (synchronous drive only)
Control cabinets
A control box is the on-board computer of the system.
The control cabinet is tuned to the power of a drive. Each control cabinet is already equipped with a fuse and a main contactor which protects against short circuit and
under- and overvoltage. This protects the system. The control box is always placed near the drive at a maximum distance of 2.5 metres. Each control box is equipped
of various connectors and fuses.

Cooling
Three different cooling systems are available for cooling the engines.
- Open cooling water system (fresh water)
Only suitable for use on fresh water. This system takes its cooling water directly from the waterway. This water then passes through a filter before passing through the system. The heated water is returned overboard via a thru hull connector. - Cooling systems Liquid Cooled engines Closed cooling water system 1 (surface cooling). The closed system is suitable for any waterway because the ambient water is not used directly. This variant provides cooling by means of Kim/Kiel/Vlak or Bunkoeling. This system has a cooling tube running over the hull of the ship which is in contact with the ambient water to which it gives off the heat. The system is filled with coolant and is circulated by means of a pump.

Closed cooling water system 2 (with heat exchanger) This system works with a heat exchanger. This system is equipped with two circulation circuits. An internal system which is equipped with coolant and circulates by means of a pump and an external system which uses ambient water with which the heat exchanger cools the internal system.
